The Computer Clubhouse Kids!

The Fitzroy Computer Clubhouse provides a creative and safe after-school learning environment where young people from under-served communities are given the opportunity to explore their own ideas, develop skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology.

Open five nights a week, The Clubhouse is accessed by over 90 members from 18 nationalities. At the Clubhouse, members work on projects related to their own interests supported by volunteer adult mentors with expertise in ICT, arts and media.

The Computer Clubhouse is a project of the Museum of Science, Boston, in collaboration with the MIT Media Laboratory. www.fitzroylearningnetwork.org.au/cclub

Come and be inspired by the young and talented members of the Computer Clubhouse who will be showcasing some of their exciting ICT projects in the conference foyer, on Sunday 26th August.

The Gala Dinner

Always a major highlight of the conference, the Gala Dinner provides an enjoyable evening of food, wine and entertainment, providing time to relax and unwind after a full two days of conferencing, and a great opportunity to network with other schools and technology vendors.

All delegates, sponsors and Computelec representatives get involved in this fantastic night which always proves a memorable part of the conference. The theme and entertainment featured at this year's conference will be announced online soon.

The Conference Gala Dinner is sponsored by our partner, Toshiba.

Activities

At last year's conference we introduced a series of scheduled activites to provide delegates with some time to enjoy the resort and its surroundings and network with fellow delegates.

There will be a choice of group based activities on offer, scheduled for late afternoon on Day 2. This will encourage delegates to get to know each other and make new like-minded associates and contacts in a more informal situation.

Scheduled activities will include bush walking, beach walk, croquet, yoga or simply some time to relax and unwind.
