Lloyd Brown, Henrico County Public Schools, Virginia, US

Lloyd Brown is Director of Technology with Henrico County Public Schools in Virginia. He has been with the county for 6 years and previously was a Senior Systems Network Administrator with Hampton City Public Schools in Tidewater Virginia.

Brown has over fourteen years of experience in technology education. He possesses an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and their instructional applications. His goal is to use technology resources to enhance the learning experience.

Brown was instrumental in the development and implementation of the Teaching and Learning Initiative at Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS).  In the 2001-2002 school year, HCPS was the first public school system in the nation to deploy wireless laptops to students and teachers.  The two-phase system has enabled the distribution of laptops to every middle and high school student and teacher in the public school district.  With 29,000 wireless laptops, the Henrico County program is the largest 1 to 1 computing initiative in any district in the United States.

   
   

Paul Ducklin, Sophos, Head of Technology, Asia Pacific

Paul Ducklin joined Sophos from the South African Council for Scientific and Industrial Research in 1995. He has held a variety of roles within Sophos, including heading up Sophos's global technical support operations.

One of the world's leading virus experts, Paul has given papers and presentations at various industry events including Virus Bulletin, ICSA and AVAR conferences. He has also written several articles on the virus threat and is a respected industry spokesperson.

Paul presents annually at InfoSec, IT Security Summit, AusCERT, QUESTnet, SPUSC, Ruxcon, LinuxWorld, AsiaPac Anti-Virus Researchers (AVAR) Forum, amongst many many other events.

   
   

Walter Chieng, Director of information & communications technologies, Saint Kentigern College. NZ

Walter works closely with management and key ICT business partners to lead and equip staff and students with technologies to take learning to a different level. The educational and business strategy put together eleven years ago to immerse ICT in all learning areas is now very much a feature of the College and is giving the College an edge over its competitors. Saint Kentigern College is the largest wireless corporate site in New Zealand, catering for 1,850 mobile users.

   
   

Keith Rothsay, Toshiba, VIC

Toshiba’s Pre Sales Technical Specialist Specialist, Keith is passionate about Mobile Technology. When new products and technology are being developed for release, Keith makes it his business to become fully versed in every aspect, so that he can then impart this knowledge on to those who are installing and maintaining product throughout our customer base. He also enjoys running regular CAP training programs throughout Australia, sharing his vast resource of knowledge.

Keith continues to be excited by the constant technological developments that come to market and how the adoption of these technologies are becoming part of all of our lives.

   
   

Mike Leishman, Newman College, WA

Mike is the Manager ICT of Newman College, a K-12 co-educational Catholic College in Perth which has three campuses and over 2000 users. He has a Master of Science (Computer Science), a Post Graduate degree in Computer Science, a degree in Chemistry and a Diploma of Education. He was also awarded the ACCE National Educator of the year in 1998.

   
   

Paul Wright, Newman College, WA

Paul is the Network Administrator of Newman College and has been with the college for six years. During this time, he administered the original Novell network and was instrumental in the implementation and migration of users and data to the current Windows Server 2003 domain that encompasses 12 servers and 650 workstations located over the three campuses.

   
   

David Mackay, Australian Information Security Association, AUS

David is currently a Program Delivery Manager at Toll where he holds responsibility for securely delivering IT infrastructure projects to the business.

Prior to Toll, David spent five years managing the Australasian Region Managed Security Service Practices at worldwide IT Service Providers Fujitsu and Atos Origin.
David holds a CISSP certification and is the Secretary of the Australian Information Security Association.

   
   
 

Anthony Bodin, Exinda Networks

Anthony has over 15 years' experience in the data communications industry in both Australia and Europe. His career began with Datacraft in account management and subsequently with Tricom Communications in the UK. Dimension Data acquired both companies.

After a successful career abroad he returned to Australia and founded one of the first ISPs in 1994, Internet Access Australia, specializing in business connectivity. Asia Online, an Asia Pacific ISP backed by heavy weights such as JP Morgan and Softbank Technology, acquired it.

Simultaneously a web development company he founded, TotalNet, was acquired by IT & e Ltd, a public company that specialize in e-business solutions for the financial services industry. Anthony served as a Non Executive Director for IT and e Ltd.

Anthony joins Exinda Networks as an Executive Director. His focus within the company lies in developing strategy and commercialising Exinda Networks offerings.

Anthony also holds a diploma in Electronic Engineering.

Stephen Paul, John Paul College, QLD

Mr Stephen Paul has had over twenty years experience as a Principal in four schools. He has been Headmaster of John Paul College since 1998. Prior to this, he was an experienced principal in the Queensland Education Department and, more recently, a principal of Townsville Grammar School. He holds qualifications in education and business administration from The University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology respectively. He has been the author of a number of textbooks and has contributed over many years to conferences and publications in relation to education administration, leadership and curriculum at state and national level.

Nicholas Mathers, HP, VIC

Nicholas Mathers is the Mobility Product Specialist for Hewlett Packard in the Southern Region of Australia. He has been working in the IT Industry for 15 years, the past 6 of those being with HP/Compaq.

In his time at HP he has spent 4 years managing the distribution channel in Southern Australia, followed by 18 months as a Business Development Manager for the Personal Systems Group, and finally the past 6 months in his current role as Mobility Specialist.

   
   
 

Chris Louloudakis, Microsoft, VIC

Chris Louloudakis is a Technology Specialist for Directory, Identity and platform technologies, working for Microsoft from the Melbourne office. Chris performs a national role, helping Microsoft’s enterprise customers deploy Windows Server and Active Directory in their environments,  as well as helping define, develop and deliver their Identity Management strategies.

Before joining Microsoft, Chris was a Senior Systems Engineer for Novell. In this pre-sales role, Chris developed solutions across all Novell technologies, including GroupWise, NetWare, ZENWorks and Identity Manager.

Prior to working at Novell, Chris was a Network Specialist with Telstra, working on large network design and implementation projects in the LAN arena, including the Netware 3 to Netware 4 migration project.

   
   
 

Gavin Coulthard, F5, VIC

Gavin Coulthard is a pre-sales consultant with over 15 years experience in the Australian IT industry. He has previously worked as a solutions architect within global organisations specialising in networking solutions and disaster recovery before joining F5.

   
   
 

Trent Davis, NetBox Blue, NSW

Trent, is the CEO and founder of NetBox Blue. Trent set up the Brisbane based company in 1999 with the objective of designing a product to manage the entire range of internet applications for organisations.

The outcome of this is the NetBox™ range of products which assists organisations in managing the diverse range of services running across their internet connections.

Trent  was recently announced as the Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

   
   

Greg Gebhart, NetAlert, VIC

Greg Gebhart is the National Education Trainer for NetAlert. Greg has a long background in Education and ICT. He was recently awarded National Outstanding Achievement by a Teacher at the 2006 National Quality in Schools Awards.

He has previously won many other wards including the Westfield Premiers Education Award, Victorian Regional Achiever of the Year, and Australian ICT in Education Innovator of the Year.

Greg is a regular presenter at National and International conferences. His current role for Net Alert, (the Australia's Internet safety advisory body) involves the delivery of Internet Safety awareness programs to schools and communities across Australia.

   
   
       

Fotios Kotsiopoulos, HP, VIC

Fotios Kotsiopoulos is a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant for ProCurve Networking by HP. He is responsible for providing pre-sales technical support to HP ProCurve Networking's channel in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania so that they can offer the best possible solutions to end users. Starting with the company directly from University, Fotios has been with Hewlett-Packard for eleven years. Prior to his current position, Fotios was at HP Services as a Technical Support Engineer. Prior to that, he had a support role with HP's Enterprise Solutions Centre. Fotios holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, with a major in Computer Systems Engineering, from Swinburne University of Technology.

Alan Hanley is the Pre-Sales Engineer for LG-Nortel, Alan has been in the communications industry for 15 years and has installed and maintained numerous PABX's, Key systems, Videoconferencing and VoIP systems as well as being a Network Systems Administrator on both Windows and Linux.

   
       

Kevin Rodrigo, Microsoft, VIC

Kevin Rodrigo has been working as the Education Account Manager for nearly 3 years. He is passionate about enabling educators, students and educational institutions to realise their full potential. Kevin has been at Microsoft for close to 9 years in a number of roles in their Sales and Services organisation. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computing, has 2 children, and is married to a teacher. In his spare time, he likes working with underprivileged youth, learning Aikido, off-road driving and cooking Asian-style.

A career spanning over 20 years across mainframe technologies to blades allows a unique perspective on today's IT management issues.

       

Brian Zerafa, Altiris, VIC

Brian Zerafa, completed his BSc (Hons) in Computer Science at Monash University in 1995 and has over twelve years in the IT industry, both locally and internationally. Brian has a breadth of experience covering Applications and Systems Management and has been with Altiris for the past three years, successfully growing the Altiris customer base in the Corporate and Education sector.

       

Nick Nindra, CCI Business Unit, HP , South Pacific

Nick Nindra, Head of Sales, Hewlett-Packard, South Pacific Nick Nindra has spent the last 18 years in Asia Pacific sales, marketing and general management roles for Systems and ICT vendors. Nick currently heads up HP's award winning and recently launched PC Blade and Thin Client Business in the South Pacific.
Several years at Stratus Technologies within the Telecommunications and Financial Services area were followed by a decade in Channel, OEM and Sales Management. He was involved with launching technologies including Fault Tolerant Windows servers and IP based Network Services into South Asia. Nindra was responsible for growing the Asian revenue base by 300% from 2001 till 2003. Most recently Nindra was Vice President, Asia Pacific and Middle East for ClearCube Technology Inc, a GIC (Singapore Government) invested PC Blade Technology company, headquartered in Austin, Texas. He was instrumental in growing the operation by 200% quarter of quarter and had personal responsibility of setting up Channel operations in Japan, Greater China, ASEAN and the Indian Sub-continent. He has also held the post of Senior Vice President for Singapore listed company, Stratech Systems Limited, focusing on Security, Surveillance and Large Scale Mission-Critical Projects. Nindra has had various articles published in trade journals such as Channels Asia, Asian Banking Journal and spoken at numerous Industry and Government associated events, related to ICT.

       

Sven Radavics, WatchGuard Technologies, Inc.

Sven Radavics is Sales Director Australia/New Zealand for WatchGuard Technologies and has 13 years’ experience of working in the IT security arena.
Sven joined WatchGuard in 1998 and although his primary area of focus today is in the Australia/New Zealand market, he has been involved with solution implementations worldwide, including Germany and the United States.
In the Asia Pacific, Sven has assisted companies such as AT&T and Nike with their architecture, design and roll-out of Managed Security Services that span across the region.
Prior to his current role at WatchGuard, Sven was Asia Pacific Technical Director.  Previously, he was Regional Manager for Sales in South Asia which included the Australia and New Zealand markets.  During this time he designed security policies for Internet Initiative Japan, Ansett Australia, Telecom New Zealand and Cable & Wireless.
Sven is a member of WatchGuard’s global product development team where he provides regional input for the roll-out of new product solutions to match the individual requirements of countries in the Asia Pacific region.  In addition, Sven manages a team of systems engineers across Asia.
Earlier in his career, Sven was instrumental in building two of Australia’s largest ISP businesses; Access 1 (now merged with Ozemail) and iPrimus.

       

John Pritchard, Senior Technology Specialist , Microsoft

John Pritchard is a Senior Technology Specialist for Windows Client focusing on XP deployment and enablement for Vista, the next generation Operation System from Microsoft to replace Windows XP.
John has been with Microsoft for over 8 years and working in server infrastructure and now Windows Client after roles in consulting and corporate Program Management.
John has recently been recently featured discussing the imaging tools that come with Vista and is excited to present at the ELH on the deployment benefits coming in Windows Vista.
